Online Workshop: Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action

“If you want to disorient any population, the first thing you need to do is disconnect
them from their land because the land on which they live is the source of their identity,
their medicine, their food, their ability to self-sustain…and then that didn’t work, so
let’s just take their children away.”

Join guest presenter, Priya Andrade, and learn about the Christian Reformed Church’s engagement in the TRC’s calls to action in Canada … repenting and lamenting its role in the cultural violence committed towards Indigenous Peoples.

Presenter: Priya is a member of All Nations, a former church elder, and a “Do Justice” columnist.
In her role as Interim Justice and Reconciliation Mobilizer, Priya provides staff support to the Canadian Indigenous Ministry Committee and facilitates communication within the Indigenous Ministry, congregations, and other agencies where common justice concerns are shared.
