A Virtual Tour of the former Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School

The Woodland Cultural Centre (Brantford, ON) presents a virtual tour of the former Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School.
The tour gives the history of the school from when it opened in 1828 until its closure in
1970.
See different rooms in the school, from the girls’ and boys’ dormitories, the cafeteria, laundry room, and other rooms throughout the building.
Listen to interviews in which several survivors of the Mohawk Institute graciously share their stories.
The tour will be followed by a question & answer session.
